New Mexico sees lowest unemployment since Great Recession, 58% decline from pandemic high

New Mexico saw its lowest unemployment rate since the beginning of the Great Recession last month and a drastic rebound from early-pandemic levels, according to state unemployment data. The Land of Enchantment saw its unemployment rate tick down to 4.1% last month, the lowest it’s dropped in the last 14 years.

Texas helium operator to expand its footprint in LA County

Eastern Las Animas County is projected to see a helium processing plant after the Las Animas County Board of County Commissioners approved the site last month. Desert Eagle Operating LLC., a Texas-based helium producer, received approval to develop a helium processing facility, on a “remote” location in the Kim-area, which will service helium wells in the area.
