Heinrich announces expanded eligibility for VA health care for Vietnam, Gulf War, post-9/11 veterans under PACT Act

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (DN. M.) is notifying New Mexico veterans that on October 1, the Department of Veterans Affairs will expand and extend eligibility for VA health care for certain Veterans of the Vietnam War, Gulf Wars and post-9/11 era under the Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics (PACT) Act.

First round of opioid settlement funds will soon reach Colorado’s communities

DENVER — The Colorado Opioid Abatement Council cleared the way for several regions and local governments in the state to receive more than $18 million in opioid settlement funds to combat the opioid epidemic. In a recent meeting, the council determined the requests for funds complied with approved uses in an agreement that 312 local governments signed on to, which outlines the ways the funds can be used.
