New Elk Mine sees highest production rates since mining operations began
Benjamin Mandile Reporter The Chronicle-News New Elk Coal Company saw increased production during 2022 Q2 in both run of mine production and saleable product production, according to a quarterly report from its parent company, Allegiance Coal Ltd. The mine, west of Trinidad, saw a 46% increase in its run of mine production (unprocessed coal) quarter-overquarter.

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment are sending text message and email notifications to parents and guardians of nearly 8,400 children ages 0-4 years whose records in the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS) indicate their child/children may be overdue for one or more routine childhood vaccines. This includes diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP), Haemophilus influenza, hepatitis A and B, measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), pneumococcal, polio, rotavirus, and varicella vaccines.
