LAMAR — Colorado Parks and Wildlife on Monday ordered an emergency public fish salvage at Queens Reservoir about 15 miles north of Lamar in Kiowa County due to declining water levels related to intensifying drought conditions.
EDWARDS — At a hybrid in-person/virtual meeting in Edwards, Colorado, the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission will discuss closing the 2022 hunting season for greater sage-grouse in Game Management Unit 2, updating the disease testing requirements for cervids in commercial parks, 2023 Snowmobile Program Grant Funding recommendations, implementing the Keep Colorado Wild annual pass and implementing a refund program for instances where customers’ Keep Colorado Wild passes overlap with annual passes.
PUEBLO — Rangers at Lake Pueblo State Park investigating a boating-related death on July 9 have determined a woman riding a jet ski was ejected into the water and made contact with a nearby boat propeller causing traumatic injuries.
Our nine-year-old granddaughter went on a trip with her family and left us in our charge her prized pet, a hamster she has nurtured into a fat little rodent. She wrote out a long list of instructions of how we are to take care of the hamster.

A Trinidadian is joining the ranks of former presidents and national leaders — by accepting an invitation into The National Society of Collegiate Scholars — the nation’s “leading” certified honor society for “high achieving first and second year college students,” the society said in a release.
