Joshua Johnson was found walking alongside I-25 near Trinidad by Colorado State Patrol Sunday, June 12, and identified as a murder suspect in Colorado Springs. Johnson, 28, is accused of killing a teenage coworker at a Walgreens in Colorado Springs on Saturday, June 11, and is charged with first degree murder.

Rescue parties found a 60-yearold woman Sunday, after she went missing from the Cordova Pass Campground Saturday afternoon. The Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office reported in a Facebook post Sunday that the unidentified woman was in “good health” after being found by members of the Las Animas County Search and Rescue Team and the Huerfano County Search and Rescue Team.
The City of Trinidad recently posted the following notice regarding junk accumulation on private property, addressed to all property owners, lessees or occupants. It states that it is “your duty to ensure that junk does not accumulate on your property.” Junk such as what’s shown here in the Allendale neighborhood constitutes a nuisance, and “should it become necessary for the City to abate the nuisance, the owner of the property will incur all costs associated with the removal of the junk together with a $1,000 administrative fee.” In addition, the property owner is also subject to a $300 per day maximum fine.
