San Isabel National Forests, Lake Isabel projects to be funded within the Rocky Mountain region

The USDA Forest Service Rocky Mountain Region announced that in Fiscal Year 2022 it will invest $26,962,595 into 67 projects to address deferred maintenance within the region. The Rocky Mountain Region includes national forests and grass lands in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and most of South Dakota and Wyoming.

Every year, when this time of the year comes around, I can’t help but think of my Grandma Brown and the amazing garden that she always planted. In middle-Georgia where she lived, this would be the time many of the vegetables would be putting on their fruits. It is a wonderful and tasty time of year. Grandma’s cucumbers and tomatoes were the stuff dreams were made of. I don’t even have the words to talk about her fresh peas and corn.
