Las Animas County leadership took another opportunity this month to hear about the impacts grant funding facilitated by the county had on this year’s recipients. The Las Animas County Board of County Commissioners has been hearing presentations from county nonprofits that received grant funding from the county in 2022 during its last few meetings, and most recently heard from funding recipients at a meeting Tuesday.

The Trinidad Police Department responded to or initiated some 295 incidents between Thursday, May 12 and Wednesday, May 18, including protection order violation, Safe2Tell reports and harassment calls. The Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office call logs were not obtained before deadline.
