School isn’t out yet: Las Animas County drivers reminded to obey all school zone regulations

The Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office is reminding drivers to obey school zone traffic regulations after issuing “several” citations earlier this month. The office said in a Facebook post that it would like to remind drivers to slow down and to never pass a school bus when it has its lights activated.

Open records request shows Trinidad not under state, federal city finance audit

A rumor circulating that the City of Trinidad is under a state or federal audit shows to be false, according to reporting and a Colorado Open Records Act request filed by The Chronicle-News. According to the Colorado Office of the State Auditor, the City of Trinidad and a CORA response, the city is not under a state or federal audit.
