Organizers of 2022 Rad Dirt Fest want more community involvement — focus on area needs

Life Time Events, the producers of The Rad Dirt Fest, said it hopes to have more community collaboration moving forward, which was welcomed by Trinidad’s Office of Outdoor Recreation this month. In an interview with The Chronicle-News, Life Time Events Tamira Jenlink — The Rad Dirt Fest race director — said that the company is not only looking to put on an event in town, but become a community partner in multiple ways.

City suspends local tavern’s liquor license for 10 days after December lewd incident involving patrons

Flo-Jo’s Tavern Hall, LLC., had its liquor license suspended after a show-cause hearing at Trinidad City Council Tuesday night. The hearing came after an incident in December 2021 during which a group of patrons used a bottle in a vulgar nature, prompting an investigation by Trinidad Police Department and a show of cause hearing before city council acting as the local liquor licensing authority after video of the vulgar incident surfaced on social media.

DENVER — The Colorado Department of Human Services is celebrating Feb. 1 as National Energy Assistance Day. All poten tially eligible Coloradans are encouraged to apply for Colorado’s Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP), a federally funded program that helps eligible Coloradans pay a portion of their winter home heating costs.
