Strength in unity? LAC Chamber of Commerce discusses creation of regional economic approach

With what president of the Las Animas County Chamber of Commerce, Pat Howlett, referred to as “The most important chamber luncheon in decades,” representatives across Las Animas, Colfax and Huerfano Counties attended the most recent chamber luncheon on Jan. 15 at Trinidad State College’s Pioneer Room to speak on an unprecedented alternative approach to rural business development, which would see an economic unification across the three locations.

Gov. Jared Polis has proclaimed January 2025 National Radon Action Month and encourages Coloradans to reduce their risk of radon-induced lung cancer. The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment strongly urges Colorado residents to test their homes for radon using a free radon test kit.
