LAC emergency manager commends Apogaea board of directors for decision to shut down festival amid fentanyl spiking risk  

Joe Richards, Las Animas County’s emergency manager, was chopping wood on the night of Friday, June 6, when he received a call from Apogaea’s board of directors, seeking his advice on how to proceed after multiple drinks tested positive for fentanyl.

New state legislation gives lifeline to Salud, allowing potential funds, keeping its doors open — for now  

On May 27, Gov. Jared Polis signed HB25-1288, Support for Federally Qualified Health Centers, and the following day placed his signature on SB25-290, Stabilization Payments for Safety Net Providers—two pieces of legislation aimed at providing critical health centers, like Salud Family Health in Trinidad, an opportunity to survive against mounting finical strain, which threatened to close its doors.
