Multi-agency operation uncovers five ‘live’ explosives inside Trinidad home, two arrests 

On Oct. 8, Tyler Camp, 23, and Lacey Monarco, 39, both had felony charges dismissed for possessing an explosive device for an incident back in June, as part of a plea. Both were on deferred sentences of 24 months and 18 months, respectively, for auto theft, according to their criminal history records.

Bloody altercation inside LAC jail leads to inmate being tased, sedated, receives three additional felony assault charges

On the night of Monday, Sept. 22, deputies of the Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with “moving” an inmate, Dorothea Fife, 21, at the LAC Detention Center, which led to an incident that resulted in Fife receiving new charges, three counts of second-degree assault, which are class four felonies.
