Arballo-Contreras given opportunity to make bond, had no criminal history, prosecution warns of risk with immigration preventing his return to court 

The 31-year-old from Chihuahua, Mexico, Adrian Arballo-Conteras, found himself at the Las Animas County Courthouse on Wednesday for a court hearing, which saw the judge give him an opportunity to make bond, despite the prosecution arguing the “flight-risk” and potential immigration detention, which could cause him to miss future hearings.

‘Garbage Glam’ returns to Main St. Live Saturday

Garbage Glam, a “low” fashion show will be held at Main Street Live at 7 p.m. Sept 13. The show features clothing made from up-cycled or recycled materials. There will be a silent auction and lots of surprises, promises organizers. Admission is a $10 tax deductible cash, or checks made out to benefit the Somebody Cares Food Project.
