He was born May 30, 1943, to Tomasita (Gonzales) Ronquillo and Daniel Barela in Branson, Colorado. Ricardo was a resident of Colorado. He had many careers throughout his life: Law enforcement, coal mining, trucking, ranching, shoeing horses, and many other jobs. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing instruments.
