12 years have gone by since his passing, April 14, 2010. We Love and miss him every day, we know that each day that passes puts us closer when we will meet again! Saluteʼ son, brother and uncle.
His Happiest Day His happiest day was the day he met his lifelong love, Odel. His happiest day was when his first son was born, Clayton.
At exactly midnight on Thursday, April 7, 2022, Mildred “Millie” (Aragon) Lopez passed away at the age of 84. She was called home after a short and blessedly pain-free battle with pancreatic cancer.
Les was born in Trinidad, CO where he grew up on College St. with his father Roger, mother Ermelinda, brothers Eugene and Roger, and sister Jeanette.
Edward Clarence Marquez, follower of the Way went to be with his Eternal Father on March 31, 2022. He is preceded in death by parents Tony and Stella and brother Ron. Claris survived brothers Tom; Rick (Charlotte); Chris (LucyAnn); sister Diane. Also by wife Odel, children and grandchildren: Clayton, (Dana), Sophia; Katherine, (Jeremy); Jamie (Joey), Chloe; Georgie Anne, CaeZaun. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Rosemary and Lisa; Penny; Valerie (Bill); David; Christopher (Jessica); Richard. Numerous cousins and friends.

Les was born in Trinidad, CO where he grew up on College St. with his father Roger, mother Ermelinda, brothers Eugene and Roger, and sister Jeanette. He enjoyed playing with the kids in the neighborhood and was an excellent swimmer growing up. He graduated from Trinidad High School in 1963, then attended TSJC before joining the Navy. During his career in the Navy he achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer, was stationed on multiple bases around the world, and served his country in the Vietnam war. He received multiple medals and certificates of commendation during his service. Les was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1967 and he returned home to Trinidad. When he returned home he worked multiple roles for the City of Trinidad, as a coal miner, and as a bartender at the family restaurant and bar the El Rancho. During this time Les became a father with Elaine Romero to Jennifer, James Jr., and Jaylene. After retiring from bartending, Les moved up to the family ranch to take care of his mother. He would spend the rest of his life helping to raise his grandchildren; James III, Marcus, Diego, Nickolas, and Carlos. Les is survived by his siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren; Jayden and Zaida, multiple nieces, nephews, friends, and his favorite dog Fuji. Les was always smiling, always laughing, and was always willing to help no matter who was asking. He never had a negative thing to say about anybody and will be missed dearly by a lot of people.
