The total handle for sports betting in Colorado saw a decrease in December 2022, while tax revenue collected by the state slightly increased, according to the latest Colorado Department of Revenue data.

Playing in one of the toughest leagues in Class 2AA is one thing, and having two of the top ten teams in the state is another, but playing them in a span of seven days — well that is a tall order for any team Wednesday night in Hoehne the Farmers lost to No. 7 ranked Holly (11-3, 5-2) 59-51 in a hard-fought contest by both teams. Late last week on the road HHS fell to No. 2 ranked Crowley County (16-0, 9-0), 73-51. The Farmers (7-5, 3-3) beat Swallows Charter Academy (010, 0-5) 57-18 but lost to Las Animas (7-5, 2-4) 51-33.

The Primero Bulldog Wrestling Program, in its infant year, attended the Valley Classic Wrestling Tournament in Center at the end of January, where the squad continued to grow in its abilities. Primero’s veteran wrestlers, sophomores Aedin Borja, DeShawn Sanchez and freshman Kyler Spleen, faced difficult opponents.

It was a tough one last week on the basketball court, with many local high school teams suffering losses. The one exception was the Hoehne Lady Farmers, who destroyed all challengers to claim the top spot in the league.
