The Trinidad Triggers recruited a handful of international ballplayers this season, offering them the opportunity to play in a league some have said is more competi-tive than leagues in their home countries.
Every month the moon’s appearance waxes and wanes, growing larger toward full, then waning smaller to no visible moon at all due to its month-long orbit around Earth. Because this orbit follows an ellipse rather than a circle, the moon also moves closer and farther from Earth.
The indomitable father-son tandem of Jack and J.J. Vallejos dominated the 46th Latin Invitational two-day scramble on the weekend of June 11-12, 2022, at the Trinidad Municipal Golf Course. The dynamic duo won the tournament by eight strokes over second place finishers Aaron Maldonado-Jorge Maldonado and the Dixon brothers, Mike and Tim.

Despite multiple hurdles to overcome, including weather, disease and injury, the Lady Hoehne Farmers Track & Field team found success at the Colorado High School Activities Association Class 2A State Track & Field Championships — with the 4x200-meter relay team becoming state champions.
The last state championships of the 2021-22 school year have been earned and by this time next week, all-star season will have wrapped up, as well. Girls golf finished early last week, and baseball concluded over the weekend with some thrilling contests.
