First National Bank celebrates 150 years

First National Bank of Trinidad celebrated it’s 150 year anniversary by inviting people to attend it’s open house, complete with a ribbon cutting, free cupcakes, a free 150th anniversary book, and it’s “Our History in Banking” exhibit, where Chris England poses next displays, and explains how banking has evolved throughout its history.

Trinidad drug bust reveals small child surrounded by fentanyl in car, home

Back in mid-December of 2024, The Chronicle-News reported a traffic stop that uncovered a suspect in possession of fentanyl with intent. However, the Trinidad Police Department’s incident report uncovered shocking details, revealing that a six-year-old child was living in an environment surrounded by the dangerous drug, with the arrest of the suspected drug dealer potentially saving his life.
