Our beautiful mother, Christella Joann (Marquez) Cordova of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on retired from the Federal Government in 1995 January 19, 2023 at the age of 84. Christella was born Christella enjoyed traveling with her husband in Segundo, Colorado on classmates and cousins. October 7, 1938 to Epifanio Marquez and On August 29, 1959, Christella married Joe V. Josefita Felonis Santistevan Marquez. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Sean 1960 and 1975, Joe and Christella were blessed Cordova, and her siblings Cornelia Vigil, Anthony Marquez, Gene Marquez, Lakewood, Colorado for more than four decades. and Manuel Marquez.
Christella graduated from Primero High School in Weston, Colorado. She was active in sports and was Homecoming Queen. After graduation, Christella moved to Denver and lived with her sister Cornelia. In Denver, Christella worked at several jobs but ultimately retired from the Federal Government in 1995
after more than two decades of service. After retirement, Christella enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends and went on numerous cruises with fellow classmates and cousins.
On August 29, 1959, Christella married Joe V. Cordova. They were married in Trinidad, Colorado, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. They lived most of the
next 64 years together in Lakewood, Colorado. Between 1960 and 1975, Joe and Christella were blessed with four children. Christella and her husband were
faithful parishioners at St. Jude Catholic Church in Lakewood, Colorado for more than four decades
Christella loved spending time with her family . She loved country music and was a lifelong Elvis Fan. She also enjoyed reading on a daily basis
Christella is survived by her husband, four children, Gary, Darrell, Eric, and Jami , eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held at ST.Jude Catholic Church locat at 9405 West Florida Ave. Lakewood CO 80232 on February 10, 2023 Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, followed by a reception at 11:00 am . In lieu of flowers, please consider making a tribute donation to the Alzheimer´s Association
