Corey Jay Felthager

Our beloved Corey Jay Felthager age 45, known to many as CorDog or FlashMo, passed away in Pueblo, CO due to a battle with cancer. Corey was born March 13, 1977 in Trinidad, CO and is the son of Immaculate Annette Felthager and Dennis Carl Felthager. He had a son Dennis Orlando Edward Felthager and one grandson Malachi King Felthager. Corey graduated from Trinidad High School in 1995. Growing up he participated in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Corey was an avid sports fanatic – “GO BRONCOS”. He played football for the City League and in High School. He also played baseball, basketball and took gymnastics. That is where he learned his famous back flips. He worked as a butcher for Cummings Processing, and was a Carpenter and a Care Giver for his Mom and Grandma. Corey was passionate about drawing, painting, fishing and hunting and music. He loved to sing and Dance like Jim Morrison from The Doors. Corey loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially enjoyed playing with his grandson Malachi, which was his Pride and Joy. Taking drives in the mountains with his buddies Lejon and Daryl. Going for rides with Slade and Jamming with Shawn. Anyone that knew Corey knows he loved to tell jokes. He would start every joke off with “It goes like this..” He always said, “I am famous from here to Santa Fe.” Corey had unconditional love everyone.

Corey was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Orlando Edward Felthager, his father, Dennis Carl Felthager, grandfathers, Melvin Felthager and Joseph Niccoli, aunty, Irma Furu, cousin Clint Furu, uncles, Freddie Niccoli, Kurt Felthager, and Tim Felthager and his cousins Joey Niccoli and Matthew Niccoli. He is survived by his mother, Annette Felthager (Homer Jones), grandson, Malachi Felthager (Seferina Arellano, daughter-in-law), grandma, Frances Niccoli, uncle, Henry Furu III, cousins Gaylene Furu-Vigil (Robert), Lilijana and Race Vigil, Roy Niccoli and family, Barbara Decker, Theresa Killian and family, Harvey Decker, William Lawrence, and Aunt, Joy Cummings and family, step brothers Adam Westwood, Steven and Casey Latuda and many, other relatives. His Best Buds Lejon Guiterrez and Slade Maes. Corey will be missed dearly.

Pallbearers are Lejo n Guiterrez, Slade Maes, Shawn Martinez, Cheʼ Felthager, Race Vigil and Adam Westwood. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Tat Madrid, Joe Madrid, Felix Baca, Daryl Demacio, Vinnie Domino, Robert Vigil, Lilijana Vigil, Mike Armijo Sr., Anthony Armijo, Michael Armijo Jr., Joey Felthager, Jim Felthager, Bobby Woods, Larry Cometto, Shone Mestas, Shawn Martinez, Jr., Steven Latuda, Casey Latuda, Pam Jones, Pam Lessenden, Gary Felthager, Jeri Vasquez, Kyle McCart y, Velma Guiterrez, Seferina Arellano, Gilbert Sanchez, Carla Moore, and Matt Hyde and his dog Peace.

We are asking everyone to wear Denver Broncos for Coreyʼs services. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at the Comi Chapel. Funeral Services will be Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 10am at the First Christian Church with Pastor Cary Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at the Trinidad Masonic Cemetery. Arrangements made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
