Fred Ernest Gonzales of Trinidad CO. passed away unexpectedly in his home on Dec. 29th. He was a retired Railroad worker for Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a good man that loved helping people like Volunteering his time at the Open Door Soup Kitchen. Fred always had a smile on his face. He is now sitting on his throne next to his father Frederico Ernesto Gonzales. He is also preceded in death by Mary Josephine Marez and his brother Robert J. Marez.

Survived by his sister Mary A. Gonzales, brother Leslie Gonzales, nephews Uriah J. and Dominick E. Gonzales, numerous other close friends and family. Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Trinity Church on Feb. 3, at 1:00 pm followed by burial at Trinidad Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements made under the direction of The Comi Funeral Home.
