Harriett Roberta (Crask) Goodale

Harriett Roberta (Crask) Goodale, age 86 went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2022.

She was born in Trinidad Colorado on January 8, 1936, to Herbert Sr and Dorothy (Tremaine) Crask, owners of Crask Sheet Metal. She graduated from Trinidad High School in 1954. After graduation, she moved to Denver Colorado where she worked for Air Force Finance Center. She attended a USO dance where she met the love of her life Gerald (Jerry) Goodale and was married January 1,1956. Harriett was a Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter in Trinidad. In 2005, she joined Seniors Inc. and became a foster grandparent at Primero Elementary School.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Gerald Allen Goodale Sr., grandson Cory Wayne Morgan, brothers Charles and John Crask, best friends Leona Shell and Joanne Tremaine.

She is survived by her brother Herbert “Gil” Crask, her children Cheri and husband Brad Morgan, Gary and wife Barbara Goodale, Lauralea and husband Ed Root Jr. Grandsons Brady Morgan, Gerald and wife Amy Goodale, Brian and wife Amanda Goodale, Buddy Doc Morgan & Joshua Leach. Granddaughter Lacey Monarco, great-grandchildren Johanna, Gwendalyn, Finnegan, Lillyann & Jonathen Goodale, Aubrey Blair & Macy Monarco, numerous bonus grandchildren, honorary daughter Debra Buckle and friend Lucinda Lovato.

Honorary Pallbearers are Eric Montoya, Troy LaVigne, Joshua Leach, Colten Thompson, Sebastian VanSlyke, Dustin Byrd, Nick Vigil, Keith Lopez, BJ VanSlyke, TJ Beardslee, Brandon McDonald. Active Pallbearers are PJ Cordova, Kenny Lopez, Mike Morgan, William Morgan, Brody Trujillo, Brett Castillo, Josh Mondragon.

Harriet enjoyed her time with her dogs, watching humming birds, embroidery, football and anytime spent with her family and friends. She was known for her huge heart & open-door home. She truly loved the children that became her bonus family during her lifetime and while teaching at Primero. In her 5 years of helping at Primero, she was never referred to by her formal name but was called “Grandma” by all the staff and students. She will forever be remembered as “everyone’s” Grandma, for the relationships she made, the love she gave and the imprint she made on everyone’s life.

A memorial/celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion‘s Lutheran Church in Trinidad.
