HELEN M. JULIANO

After a prolonged illness, Helen M. Juliano passed away on April 20, 2023, Colorado, at the age of 93. Helen was born on April 26, 1929 in Trinidad to Charles and Marie (Timpone) Juliano. A proud first-generation Italian- American, Helen’s primary goal in life was to give to others. She attended Holy Trinity Catholic School, graduating in 1946. She proceeded to work at Trinidad National Bank, where Helen started as a Secretary. She retired after 50 years as Senior Vice President, in 1996. After this she worked at the Trinidad Chamber of Commerce for 25 years, hosting many events in town, large and small. A Trinidad Century Families Recipient, Helen knew and befriended most people who lived in Trinidad in her lifetime. Her biggest passion was cooking and hosting large gatherings in her younger years.

When she was unable to host events anymore, she shared many family stories, recipes, and tips to those who would listen. Helen was predeceased by her parents; longtime partner Lindo Cartelli and his daughters Linda Antista and Melba Martinet; brothers Frank (Josephine) Juliano, Charles Juliano Jr., Lawrence Juliano, and Vincent Juliano; and sisters Annette (Ray) Frambers and Eleanor (Sam) Falsetto. Helen is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Juliano of Trinidad, and many relatives and friends. Per Helen’s wishes, she thanks her family John, Susan, Stephen, and Jason Falsetto of Pueblo, for their long-term support the last five years; nephew Anthony, Elaine, and Joseph Juliano for their love and conversation; Kathy Humphrey, her forever friend; Cindy Giron, who ensured her daily needs were met, and for her loving friendship; South Central Council of Governments for care and support; Noreen Hazen of the Lutheran Church; 911 services for their recurring support; The Senior Center for regular meals; Dean Ferraro; Linda Baron Steele; and Fran Monteleone, Kim Waller and Myra Bacich from Nana and Nano Monteleone’s for their wonderful food and for being her adoptive family. She also thanks all for their calls, cards, food, and flowers through the years and especially through her recent health struggles. Per Helen’s wishes, there will be no public services. A private ceremony will take place for entombment in Trinidad Catholic Cemetery. Donations can be made to South Central Council of Governments or the Trinidad Inn Nursing Home to help support elders in need of care.
