James E. Hedges III (Jim) passed away at home with his family on 11/19/2022. He was born on 4/20/1953 in Trinidad, CO to James E Jr. and Amy Ann (Hayden) Hedges.

Jim graduated from Trinidad High School in 1972. He was very active in all sports. He loved to play football for the Miners. Jim earned his Eagle Scout achievement from Boy Scouts of America in 1969. He was also a member of DeMolay International serving as the local president.

Jim worked for BNSF Railroad as a conductor up until his retirement in 2011.

Jim loved to watch the Denver Broncos and CU Buffaloes. He was an avid fan of both teams.

Jim is predeceased by his son John, parents Jim and Amy, Aunts Louise Gordin and Bobbie (Hedges) Smith, In-laws John and Josephine Tennison, cousin Debbie Bergstrom.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Peggy (Tennison) Hedges, daughter Amy (Jon) Feinsilver, son James (Jim) IV, granddaughter Savanna Mitchell, Aunt JoAnn Hedges and many other family members and close friends.

Funeral Service is on 12/9/2022 at 2 pm at Faith Christian Fellowship.

Private Family interment at a later date.
