Joe M. Vialpando passed away peacefully on Nov. 17 at his home. He was 93.

He is preceded in death by parents J.I. Vialpando and Delfinia Vialpando, brother Mardocueo (Mart) Vialpando, sister Sylvia Vialpando, wife Juanita Vialpando, son Fernando Vialpando, granddaughter Nicole Vigil Dimino.

Joe is survived by his daughter Bridget Vialpando, grandson Derrick Vigil, daughter Delfinia Vialpando (Lawrence Santistevan), sisters Dolores Vialpando, Stella Trujillo, brother Lee Vialpando, 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He loved his Country Western music and was always laughing and joking with his friends. He worked in the coal mines for 37 years.

Pallbearers are Derrick Vigil, Gerald Griego, Ryan Griego, Mike Letzig, Lawrence Griego, Brett Santistevan and Joan Griego.

Rosary will be at Holy Trinity Church on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 12:30 p.m. Funeral mass follows at 1 p.m.

By his request he will be cremated. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Vigil Colo. Arrangements made through Comi Funeral Home, Trinidad, Colo.
