Lily (Vigil) Lujan died on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 5:58 am, MST.

Lily was born December 1 1 , 1 9 2 7 i n W e s t o n , Colorado to Rebecca (Saiz) and Kelly Vigil. She attended Trinidad Public Schools and demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication to Public Service. She worked in the central supply unit at Mt. San Raphael Hospital. After her tenure at the hospital, Lily continued her work in health care as a CNA, Certified Nursing Assistant, at the Trinidad State Nursing Home where she later retired.

For the past four years, Lily lived in Wheat Ridge to be closer to family following the d e a t h o f h e r b e l o v e d husband, Manuel Lujan.

Those who knew Lily will remember her generous spirit, quick wit and sense of humor. Many will remember her as a loyal friend and neighbor, the type of woman who dedicated herself to f a m i l y y e t s h a r e d h e r generous, loving spirit with all.

Lily is survived by four children, Stella Hawthorne ( B i l l ) , P r i s c i l l a L u j a n , Marcella Herbert (Gary), and Mario Lujan (Susann), as well as 5 grandchildren, Kelly Smith (Matt), Marya Vallejos, Hilary Hawthorne (Bob), Hanna Lett (Sean), and Matthew Lujan. In addition, four great grandchildren, Cameron, Margaret, Evelyn, and Christian; along with n u m e r o u s n i e c e s a n d nephews. She has 2 living s i s t e r s – J o s e p h i n e Szewczyk (Henry) in NM, and Patricia Vigil in Denver. Deceased brothers/sisters include Sam Vigil, Leroy V i g i l , S a d i e M a r t i n e z , Beatrice Martinez, and Mary Ann Placentia.

Services will be held on Friday April 22, 2022, at Holy Trinity Church with Rosary at 12:30pm followed by the Funeral Mass 1: 00 pm. Inurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
