Marie Elaine Gutierrez of Trinidad gained her wings on May 23 2022 after a long battle with Parkinsonʼs Disease and Dementia.

Marie was born on April 11, 1939. She was 83 years old.

Proceeded in death are her parents Ben Martinez and Florida Martinez and son Jesse Gutierrez.

She is survived by her loving husband Leonard Gutierrez of 66 years, loving sisters Mary (Pat) Trujillo, Norma (Leroy) Velasquez, Bernadette (Pete) Mascarenas also survived by her children Vanessa Gutierrez, Troy Gutierrez, Lorelei ( Rusty) Lucero, Kimberly (Keith) Segura, Grand children Diana Gutierrez, Joseph(Gabbie) Gutierrez, Tiffany (Jake) Gutierrez, Matthew (Desi) Gutierrez, Felicia Mattorano, Aaron (Jenn) Mattorano, Brandon(Janell) Segura, Tea Marie Gutierrez and Jesse Gutierrez Jr Great grandchildren and

Great grandchildren and great great grandchildren Marie worked for the Trinidad public schools as a teacherʼs aid and for the city of Trinidad as well as being a homemaker.

Marie was very active in all community sports where she played softball for many years, volleyball, and bowling.

A lil saying Marie and her granddaughter Tea had got tattooed together (you are my sunshine, my only sunshine.)

Per Marie Elaineʼs wishes there will be no services
