Nettie Glorioso

Nettie Glorioso, 95, passed away on October 22, 2022 at Mount Saint Francis Nursing Center, Colorado Springs, CO. She was born on December 29, 1926, Valdez, CO to Rosalie and Salvatore Garbo. She attended and graduated from Primero High School in 1944. On June 24, Nettie was united in marriage to Steve Glorioso at our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Trinidad, CO.

Nettie was a humble, compassionate, and genuine woman who dedicated her life to being a selfless wife, mother, and Nana. She unconditionally loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She always made a warmhearted lasting impression on each person she met. Anyone Nettie befriended became her friend for life and she was grateful.

As an amazing cook, all were invited to her table. She was known to have an endless pot of comforting chicken soup.

Sewing was her passion. Nettie created elaborate garments for the Infant of Prague statue that was in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Each robe color was specific to the liturgical season. Every stitch was a loving prayer. Nettie was unwavering in devotion to her faith.

Nettie was the heart of our family her lasting legacy is our extraordinary gift.
