Patricia June Sanders, age 83, passed away in Pueblo, CO on May 13, 2022.

Pat was preceded in death by husband Carl Sanders, Jr., son Gary Sanders, parents Marshall and Thelma Weeden; and her adoptive parents, James and Ruth Weeden.

Survivors are son Larry Sanders, daughter Cindy Howard (Alan Carter) and son Devin (Jennifer) Sanders, granddaughters Carrie Howard, Sarah Sanders, Hailey Sanders, and grandsons Cody Howard, Dylan Howard and Zach Sanders.

Born and raised in Trinidad, Pat and Carl moved to Longmont in 1970, where Patʼs life-long love of animals led to a career with the Longmont Humane Society. She was also an active member of the Flatirons Kennel Club, showing her Australian Terriers. Upon retiring to Trinidad, Pat spent several years working for Noahʼs Ark. Pat was known to foster, rescue and rehome many dogs and cats during her lifetime. She was also a life-time member of the Order of Eastern Star.
