Fatal collision between car and train near Raton leaves one dead
On the morning of July 1, the Amtrak traveling through Colfax County, heading from Chicago to Los Angeles, was struck by a vehicle at a crossing, severely damaging the car, delaying the train for nearly five hours, and leaving one person in critical condition until he eventually died at the hospital.
