Raton MainStreet receives national award, commission gives proclamations, presented proposal for community art studio  

At the City Hall Commission Chambers, during the Raton City Commission’s regular meeting on Apr. 8, deputy city manager David Phillips reported Raton MainStreet’s successful national award win in Philadelphia, with upcoming trips to Washington D.C. to meet with congressional representatives.

Front Range Passenger Rail is becoming a reality — Trinidad, Raton are future locations

On March 7, Governor Polis, along with many prominent state and community leaders, including Senate President Steve Fenberg, rode an inspection train from Union Station in Denver to Longmont to demonstrate the feasibility of the Front Range Passenger Rail, indicating a significant step of the long-promised idea of connecting all of Colorado by rail, including Trinidad and Raton, a reality.
