Therese “Terri” Lucille Kirkwood

Therese “Terri” Lucille (Gendreau) (Morrissette) Kirkwood, 74, passed away peacefully on Dec. 7, 2022 in Trinidad, after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 3, 1948, in Lowell, Mass., to Raymond and Estelle (Forest) Gendreau.

She graduated from Lowell High School and continued to live in Lowell until 1989. She moved to Andover, Mass, and lived there from 1989 to1996 and then moved to Boncarbo in 1996.

She was married to Lee Kirkwood in 1988. They were married for 34 years.

She worked in accounting for most of her career. She and Lee owned The Digital Entertainment Store on Plum Street in Trinidad for eight years, where they made many friends around the county. She was an active member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Trinidad.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

In addition to her husband Lee, she is survived by daughters Paula Jean (Rick) of Dracut, Mass., and Michelle Fisher (Tony) of Trinidad; stepdaughters Penny Lacroix (Dan) of Westford, Mass., and Heather Kolb of Las Vegas, Nev.; stepson Jeff Kirkwood (Liz) of Smith Valley, Nev.; grandchildren Cate Lacroix, Lowell, Mass., Zach Kirkwood, Smith Valley, Nev., Andre Lacroix, Westford, Mass., Rayanne Burley, Trinidad, Olivia Jean, Dracut, Mass, Andrew Kolb, Reno, Nev. and Jake Jean, Dracut, Mass.: sister and best friend Diane Wolfgang, Windham N.H. and sisters Jeanne Marion, Hudson, N.H. and Pauline St. Onge, Asheboro, N.C.; and a multitude of nieces and nephews and friends.

Terri was the best “mémère” to all her grandchildren. She was a nurturer and lived for others throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Noahʼs Ark Animal Welfare Association in Trinidad www.noahsarktrinidad.org/ or Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Trinidad trinidadcatholic.org/, or plant a tree in her memory.

A Mass of Celebration will be held Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at 1 p.m., at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow privately.

The family of Terri Kirkwood has entrusted the Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home with the arrangements.
