William (Bill) Simpson – age 92 – passed into heaven to join his wife (Virginia), on April 23, 2022. A long time resident of Trinidad, he lived the last six years at the Trinidad Inn Nursing Home.

He is survived by his three sons: J. Mark ( Esther) Simpson – Switzerland, Gary (Cathy) Simpson – Trinidad, and Richard Simpson – Missouri. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family spent their younger years in Indiana, raising livestock (mostly horses and cattle). He also worked at Lucent Technologies (a “Bell phone Co.”) before retiring in 1983. Arriving in Trinidad, Colorado in 1984 he/they also raised horses and a few cattle for a number of years. While living at the Nursing Home, since 2016, he kept himself busy and enjoyed making toys, clocks, and various other things out of wood. A great number of people now have things that he hand- made, so that will be his legacy for years to come. He will truly be missed by those that he came to know while at the Nursing Home and others throughout Trinidad.
